14. LANDSCAPES IN ACRYLICS, 8-12yrs, Tuesday 1.30am-4.30pm, 15th July, 2025

Landscapes in Acrylics  is a great introduction to acrylic painting, based on the semi abstract landscapes by Italian artist Guiliana Lazzerini.

Her artworks are stylised with amazing colour schemes & a great way to understand the painting process.

We will start with a large sketch, paint the underpainting & transfer the image to the canvas with chalk & then paint this so we have structure for the painting.

Painting is a series of layers built up to create a final unified image, so the next step is to apply large areas of colours & then add texture & finally detail.

Kids will learn about texture, depth,  colour theory, colour mixing, contrast, composition, brush handling & techniques.

The paintings will be bold & bright!
