Animal portrait painting… what could be more fun? This workshop is a great introduction to painting with acrylic paint. Based on the quirky illustrations by Gareth Lucas
Kids will learn how to load their brushes, apply paint, mix colours as well as the basics of colour theory so they can make the colours they need.
We will start with a A4 sized drawing & kids will enlarge their animal to an A3 size (bigger things are easier to paint when you are learning).
The importance of observation & proportion will be covered & the process of painting will be explained.
We will paint a background for the portrait & then draw our character & outline it. Lastly, we will paint our Animal Portraits. WOW!
