6. DRAW & PAINT IN CHARCOAL, 8-12yrs, Wednesday 1.30pm-4.30pm, 8th July, 2026

Draw & Paint in Charcoal is workshop based on UK artist Valerie Davide &  a great introduction to expressive drawing & painting using charcoal.

We will explore a range of techniques you can use with charcoal, use paint & draw with a bamboo dip pen.

Charcoal is a great material that can create both dramatic & expressive results & with the addition of paint & ink it is amazing.

Fabulous for creating contrast & a wonderful introduction to the use of light & dark.

Kids will learn how to approach a drawing using charcoal, how to manipulate the line, how to smudge for tone, as well as using paint with loose & expressive

application to create a range of great artworks.
