4. FLOWER PAINTING, 5-8yrs, 1.30pm-4.30pm, Wednesday 8th April, 2026

Flower Painting is great introduction to painting with acrylic paint on canvas & this will make a super Mother’s Day gift.

Based on the stylised floral paintings by contemporary Australian artist Maggi McDonald

Kids will learn how to draw up for the painting, enlarge it to A3 size, transfer it to the canvas & then the process of painting.

We will cover colour mixing, some colour theory, loading the brush, brush shapes & sizes as well as how to create a varied background.

Kids will start by choosing their favourite one to enlarge, transfer it onto a canvas, paint the outlines & then complete the painting.

The results will be lovely & vibrant!
